MEET THE ARTIST
CEREN KARAKUS DUNDAR
Hello, my name is Ceren KarakuÅŸ Dündar. I was born in Turkey, where I began my tattooing journey in 2014. With over a decade of experience in the craft, I moved to the United States in 2021 to continue growing as an artist and sharing my work with a wider community.
My style is rooted in fine line technique, and I specialize in floral tattoos—both in delicate black and grey and soft, harmonious colors. Nature is my greatest source of inspiration. I’m drawn to the quiet elegance of petals, stems, and organic forms, and I aim to capture that sense of grace and emotion in every piece I create.
For me, tattooing is not just about marking the skin—it’s about telling a story, holding a memory, or simply honoring beauty in its most subtle forms. I believe in tattoos that age gracefully and connect deeply with the person wearing them.
Every design is a collaboration, shaped through thoughtful conversation and mutual trust. Whether you come to me with a clear idea or just a feeling, my goal is to translate it into something meaningful—something that feels like it has always belonged to you.

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?
New York state law requires me to record your government-issued ID info, so please bring a valid form of identification with you. Also, your body condition leading up to your tattoo session is very important. I recommend that you eat well before you come in, and remember to stay hydrated.
Please refrain from drinking alcohol the day before your tattoo session. Alcohol can increase bleeding for up to 24 hours. Blood also dilutes out pigments, affecting both the appearance of your tattoo as well as the healing process.
Make sure you have had a good night’s rest so that your skin will accept the ink more easily.
And if you have hair on the area where you want to get your tattoo, please shave that area prior to your session.

CAN I BRING FRIENDS/FAMILY?
-
If you bring friends who chat loudly or come into my workspace throughout your session to check out your tattoo, this breaks my concentration Because your tattoo will be something you cherish for the rest of your life, I would like to focus 100% on working on making it perfect. <3

WILL TOUCH-UPS BE NECESSARY?
-
90% of clients did not need touch-ups, as the colors stayed pigmented. It is natural for the color of your tattoo to fade a little bit as time goes by, especially compared to the very first day you get your tattoo (I personally love the way the color naturally blends in with the color of the skin!). I can also recommend colors that will best suit your skin color. However, if there are sections of your tattoo where the ink is missing right after you get your tattoo, then you need to get a touch-up. In this case, the first touch-up will be free within one year of your first appointment.

IS IT OK TO USE NUMBING CREAM?
-
Sorry, but no. Please do not use numbing cream. Numbing cream may be fine to use for eyebrow tattoos, but it should not be used for a tattoo that requires a lot of detail.
-
However, we will take breaks as needed, and during our break time, I will apply a numbing spray to help with the pain. This will only be used after the skin has been opened up, and will not affect the quality of the tattoo. I take a very gentle approach, and you will be able to handle the pain!

DOES IT HURT ?
-
Pain is really relative. Everyone has a different tolerance for pain. We're not going to kid you, though—it does hurt. Just not that much. Some have compared it to a "hot scratching feeling." But, people would not be returning again and again for tattoo after tattoo if it hurt that bad. Most of us are not into pain, but the beauty of the tattoo and the pride associated with wearing it far outweighs a little pin-stick here and there.

DO YOU USE VEGAN-FRIENDLY PRODUCTS?
Yes! We use Eternal Ink and other top quality brands, which is comprised of organic pigment and free of animal by-products. It’s also never tested on animals.
-
All equipment is “single-use” and provided with an expiration date. All items that come into direct contact with skin are securely disposed of after each session. Sterile equipment is unpacked in front of the client. My station is organized and optimized for workflow and sterilize.

AFTERCARE
While the bandage is on, you are free to go about your day in a mostly normal fashion. It’s water-resistant, so you can shower while wearing it, - however, we recommend avoiding prolonged water exposure since water can sometimes find its way in. We recommend wearing loose clothing to prevent abrasion to the bandage and tattoo.
While the bandageXis on, you will notice the surface underneath accumulate slight moisture, causing the tattoo to appear blurry. This is plasma building up from your skin, pulling up micro-fragments of ink. It’s completely normal and helps with the healing process.
We recommend keeping the second skin bandage on for 4 to 5 days after your appointment date. Following this duration, slowly remove the bandage under warm running water, or with a skin-safe body oil. Don’t worry, your tattoo may look faded and ugly when you remove the plastic. This is a completely normal process.
The bandage adheres tightly to your skin, so you will need to use some force when removing it. Don’t be alarmed if there are fragments of ink on the bandage - it’s those micro-fragments of ink that have dried on the bandage.
For approximately 10 to 12 days following bandage removal, we recommend using an Organic Coconut oil 4 times a day, or as needed. Apply a smooth, thin layer to the tattoo. Do not oversaturate the area with lotion, as this could potentially harm the healing process, pulling pigment back up.
Should the bandage cause any discomfort or begin to peel off before at least 4 days have passed, remove the bandage (under the same means mentioned above) and supplement treatment for the remaining days with an Coconut Oil
I want the tattoo to be perfectly healed.
